This is the 1982 McGraw-Hill, Artpress Book publication of Hank O'Neal's Berenice Abbott, American Photographer (255 pages), signed by O'Neal on the title page to the jazz virtuoso Benny Carter. The dust jacket is in good condition, with wear, including shallow tears, to the ends of the spine area, and with light scuffs and minor edge curl, but with no significant stains, no deep tears, no fade to the art or lettering. The flaps, with the price not clipped, are also in good condition. The cover (10" x 14.25"), red cloth background with silver lettering to the spine and front, is near fine. There is a shallow crease at the top of the spine, and almost unnoticeable bumps to two corners, but there are no other flaws. The color is unfaded. The lettering is in fine condition. There are no stains or tears. The inside is also near fine. The only flaw is slight sunning to some page borders. There are no stains of note. There is no writing, other than the author's signature. There are no stamps or other attachments. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages. There are no page tears or creases. All the photo-reproductions, and all text, are as new. The above photos are accurate reflections of the book conditions.
