Description
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A large free-blown glass vase with a concave base and smooth pontil, a bulbous body which leads to a tall flared neck, gaping mouth, and a thin rim. The overall pale-green hue is complemented fabulously by light-beige earthen material as well as areas of brilliant rainbow iridescence in hues of amethyst, emerald, sapphire, and citrine. Size: 5.625" H (14.3 cm).
