**Originally Listed At $250**

Near East, Sassanian Empire, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A lovely glass bottle with a bulbous body and tapering, constricted neck and small, flat rim. It has a lovely iridescence from the encrusted surface patina; hints of its dark blue surface shine through. The form suggests that it was a sprinkler vase or otherwise used for holding precious liquids in danger of evaporation. Size: 3.45" W x 4.8" H (8.8 cm x 12.2 cm)

Provenance: Ex-private New York collection; Ex-private collection of Mr. & Mrs. James DiBella, NYC. Acquired from Khader M. Baidun & Sons, Jerusalem, Israel, 2000 and said to be found in Jerico.
