North America, Native American, US Southwest, New Mexico, Santa Clara Pueblo, ca. 20th century CE. An adorable pottery frog mother with her two children sitting on each of her front legs. The majority of each frog body displays a highly-burnished glazed surface in a lustrous russet hue; the belly, eyes, mouth, and stylized toes of each figure are unglazed, revealing the white terracotta beneath. Size: 2.125" H (5.4 cm).
