Rare Early Tabletop Lighting Stand Mid - Late 18th C Forged & Rolled Sheet Iron 22 1/2"H X 11 7/8"W X 8 1/8"D (base) Exceptional throughout, expertly crafted, highly detailed. Arched tripod base with oversized penny feet, adjoining disc& reel decorated squared post, vase medial turning, with tapered round shaft above. Heavily notch decorated elliptical candle arms, penny ended, with dished drip pans & folded edge seamed candle cups. Double arm spring loaded rectangular box height adjuster, with fine pigtail ended wick trimmer hangers. Wonderful patina, worn original dry black painted surfaces, lightly oxidized. Museum quality.
