Extraordinary Chinese Qing Dynasty porcelain ink well, potted in rectangular form shallow vessels. The top surface open-work carved with centralized interlocking trellis motif medallion, interspresed by famille rose painting of cranes and red Fu-bats borne amidst underglaze blue scrolling clouds and pine tree, all against the clean white underglazed ground. The porcelain ink well preciously displayed upon a carved hardwood stand in elaborate floral motif. Crane and pine tree expresses the desire that everything under heaven and throughout the earth remain evergreen, and is a wish for longevity.
The glaze stopping before the foot rim, revealed the pale-creme ground. The receded central under base remain white underglaze.


Mark on the receded square central base, a six underglaze blue seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
