19th Century Antique Large HuangHuaLi Chinese Chest, of rectangular form. The box is mounted with ruyi-shaped fittings, a cloud-shaped lock plate, and flanked by a pair of U-shaped handles, corners reinforcements, all in huangtong brass. The interior seem to be refinished. The HuangHuaLi wood displays a dense hardwood, with deep-brown strikes over golden-honey shades tone and translucent shimmering surface with abstractly figured patterns appearing like ghost faces motif.

Excellent condition, with normal anomalies in nature, natural wood imperfection, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dent. Normal consider ages and wears.
