A very fine Chinese porcelain baluster form vase. Potted in baluster shaped body, heavy rounded shoulder tapered gracefully toward narrowed splayed foot base, elevating prominent neck leading to flaring rim. The exterior decorated in highly complicated pictorial compositions of blue underglaze detail painting, depicted cranes gasping the double gourd borne amidst scrolling clouds. The neck banded with arrays of tropical leaves beneath floral pendants. The body interspersed by subtle blue underglazed floral tendril motif over clean white underglazed ground. Banded with numerous auspicious ribbons around neck, shoulder, and foot. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze. The composition is sophisticated and the decoration design are simply a feast for the eye.


Mark on base, a six underglazed blue seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
