The Chinese porcelain plate potted in a shallow vessels form, the round sides elevated from broad wide cavetto, raised upon a slightly concaved foot base. The central interior delicately carved with enormous imperial dragon soaring beside the ascending phoenix amidst flames and clouds in the pursuit of the flaming pearl. The exterior with similar dragon design. The entire object is monochrome lemon yellow with white underglazed base. The overall impression is stately and elegant yet conventional.


Mark on base, six underglaze blue script -KaiShu- characters enclosed within double fine rings, YongZheng Reign Period of Great Qing.
