8 Silver Spoons, Lenhart and Broderson. 1st-2nd items: 2 coin silver teaspoons with fiddle handles, monogrammed LW, marked on back G Lenhart in script. (Note: Boultinghouse lists G. Lenhart working Bowling Green, first half 19th century, ref. Boultinghouse, "Silversmiths of Kentucky," p. 186, however more recent research by Kentucky silver scholar Gary Gardner suggests Gottfried Godfrey Lenhart did NOT work in Kentucky. According to Gardner, "He was a native of York, Pennsylvania and active there as a silversmith and clockmaker from 1778-1819. His day book/ledger is preserved by the York County Heritage Trust."). 3rd-8th items: 6 coin silver dessert spoons with fiddle swell handles, monogrammed "Lizzie", the backs with incuse marks C BRODERSON (Christian Broderson, working Russellville, Logan County, by 1860-d. 1887. 7.52 oz troy combined weight.
