Appalachian Folk Art items, 9 items total. 1st item: Folk Art inlaid banjo comprised of mixed woods, interior of head pencil signed "Geneva". 20 1/4" L x 7 1/2" dia. 20th century. 2nd item: Native American Cherokee basket planter by Rachel T. Reed, comprised of white oak with walnut and bloodroot weavers. Retains the original Qualla Arts & Crafts Mutual tag. 8" H x 8 1/2" W. 20th century. 3rd-9th items: Collection of folk art carvings including a carved and inked bear with movable arms and legs on stand by Walt Cook, signed and dated 1995 on the underside, Native American Cherokee carved duck initialed JF or TF, 2 carvings of a farmer and wife, possibly Swannanoa, female intialed "HRMC", a chipped carved bear on stand initialed "DRS", a standing chipped carved bear initialed "CR"and a carving of a man carrying a sheep initialed "WL". 1st item: Some wear to banjo head covering, oxidation to metal fittings. 2nd item: Very good condition. 3rd-9th items: All overall very good condition.
