Description

SIGNIFICANT FIND - OTIS RUSH - GRATEFUL DEAD FILLMORE EVENT MASSIVE POSTER. This poster was hung up outside or inside the venue - BG51 - With art by Wes Wilson - this subway wall poster was hung up and used to promote the upcoming show. It was then taken down and attached to a large piece of backing paper. It was later found in the TRASH behind Wolfgang’s Vault (along with other posters) and collected and stored for years. The poster is very large at over about 7 feet tall. It has creases where the poster - printed on a plastic screening of sorts, was re-attached back to the paper for later keeping. This all adds to the fantastic history of this poster - perfect for a man cave, music room, garage or any wall. Psychedelia was in full flower in this Wilson poster. Only the finely drawn female face featuring delicate sensory pathways is firm, and the words curl around about it like smoke from a pipe. The music of headliner Otis Rush, the Grateful Dead and Canned Heat offered something for everyone.
