Original gelatin silver photograph, 23x17.5 cm (9x6¾"), on mount: 35.5x28 cm (14x11"), housed in original printed envelope.

Original photograph of Yosemite by Ansel Adams from Best's Studio, run by Adams and his wife, Virginia Best who inherited the studio from her artist father on his death in 1935. The Adams continued to operate the studio until 1971. The studio is now known as the Ansel Adams Gallery and remains in the hands of the Adams family. The photograph is housed in the original printed envelope from the studio, with "A Photograph of Yosemite by Ansel Adams" printed on the front, with the studio's name printed beneath.

Condition

Light wear and staining to outer envelope, light edgewear to mount with some faint staining, light wear to print with one miniscule abrasion, some faint vertical lines/creases noticeable from certain angles; very good.
