Victorian Walnut Credenza

third quarter 19th century, the shaped and banded top above a conforming case fitted with two glazed cupboard doors flanked to either side by three open shelves, raised on a plinth base.

In good "as found" condition. The piece is sturdy and solid. The surface appears to have been polished in the not-too-distant past, and now exhibits minor rubbing and wear. Lock is present. Key is functional. There are a number of veneer losses to the molded edge of the top, about 3/8" x 2", 3/8" by 2", 1-1/4" x 2" and 2" x 2". On one side of the back, against the wall, there is a veneer loss about 1' 2" x 1-1/4". On the other side of the case, against the wall, is a veneer loss of about 4" x 4". The doors open and close freely. There is a missing piece of wood at the lower outside corner of one door, about 4" x 3".
