Description
Central Asia, Bronze Age, ca. late 2nd to early 1st millennium BCE. A cast bronze axe head with a hollow body and raised, linear geometric motifs on its wide blade surface. The blade was probably made just to be a grave offering or a ceremonial gift, as it shows no signs of being sharpened. Size: 4.25" L x 2.625" W (10.8 cm x 6.7 cm)
