Description
New Kingdom, 20th Dynasty, 1189-1077 BC. A glass tubular kohl vase in deep blue and pale green in the form of a papyrus stem with trailed decoration to the body of the vase; to the top a rim in the form of flower petals; hole to the top for insertion of make up applicator. For a similar example see the Museo Egizio, Turin, for the example from the tomb of Kha and Merit.52 grams, 90mm (3 1/2"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired by his father in the 1970s; thence by descent.
