Description
1st-3rd century AD. A pair of cuboid bronze dice, ring-and-dot spots to each face arranged 6:1, 2:5, 3:4 on one and 6:1, 3:5, 2:4 on the other. Cf. Allason-Jones, L. & Miket, R. The Catalogue of Small Finds from South Shields Roman Fort, Newcastle, 1984, item 2.82 for type.9.37 grams total, 8mm (1/4"). From a private collection; formed 1965-1975.
