1st-3rd century AD. A bronze harness pendant in the form of the head of Bacchus (Dionysus) wearing a fillet with ivy leaves and bunches of grapes hanging down the side of the head; youthful features with large expressive eyes; suspension ring to the top. 44 grams, 55mm (2 1/4"). Property of a European collector; acquired Europe, 1980s-1990s.
