Description
A mid-twentieth century silver salver in Art Deco style, octagonal sided with gadroon rim to a plain centre and raised on four stepped block feet with stylised leaf detail. Hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1949. Maximum length measuring 10 5/8 inches (27 cm), weight 23.72 ozt (738 grams).
Condition
The salver appears in a tarnished and dirty state and would benefit from a clean and polish. Four large circle marks and a square mark to the centre from where items have been standing for a long time. Further surface scratches and marks are visible. Otherwise appears in good overall condition. Hallmarks clear and legible. Also with impressed maker's name to the underside and numbered 53715.
