Description
An early twentieth century silver mustard pot, of oval form with gadroon shell border, the hinged lid opening to reveal a blue glass liner, raised upon four pad feet, hallmarked Fattorini & Sons Ltd., Birmingham 1918, height measuring 4.9 cm. Together with two further silver mustard pots, one embossed, one pierced, both with blue glass liners, various dates and maker's marks, plus a 1930's silver pepper pot. Gross weight exclusive of liners 4.6 ozt (144.6 grams). (4).
Condition
In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The feet on the 1918 example are slightly bent out of shape. The embossed example has minor dents and bumps to the body, marked with the Rd 250200 beneath the base. The pierced example has signs of repair around the join of the handle to the lid and does not align with the body correctly, minor chips to its blue glass liner. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible, partial hallmarks to various sections.
