Description

First Edition Album honoring the martyrs of the Cuban Revolution, circa 1959 Havana.
Memorial souvenir documenting the 82 original insurgents who took part in the voyage from Tuxpan, Mexico to the east coast of Cuba on 25 November 1956 which was considered the official launching of the Cuban Revolution.
Photographs include Fidel and Raul Castro, Ernesto "Che" Guevarra, Camilo Cienfuegos and others.
Fidel Castro Ruiz is credited on title-page "under leadership and direction" of the Granma Expedition.
Oblong 12mo., photographic title page + (41) ff. of plates (printed on rectos only, all plates but one with two photographic portraits as halftones); flexible black pictorial post-bound card wrappers with pictorial post-bound card wrappers with pictorial stamped title "Album Expedicionarios del Granma" gilt braided cord ties.
Condition: Good condition, appropriate wear for age (view all pictures for accuracy).
