Description
Vietnamese Royal Family Qing Dynasty Period Copper & Porcelain Ink Well (Has Qianlong Archaic Seal Mark) From Queen Mother Tu Cung Hoang Thai Hau - This copper and porcelain inkwell is decorated with an elaborate celestial landscape scene in blue underglaze. The inside and base are glazed with a turquoise blue glaze, and the base bears the four character Qianlong period archaic seal within a double line square border. This piece comes from the estate of a Vietnamese Royal Family (the family now lives in the United States, and wishes to remain private), and once belonged to the Queen Mother Tu Cung Hoang Thai Hau (Empress Dowager Doan Huy) who kept the piece in her personal collection before it was passed down.
