Color frontispiece, 27 mounted colour plates (with captioned tissue guards), 109 monochrome illustrations on 83 plates. 13 3/4" x 10 1/2". Soiling to binding, portion of front endpaper gone, scattered foxing, edge tear to one page, bits of edge stuck on last few pages.
