DESCRIPTION: Polished Burmese jadeite slab. Natural white to emerald green precious placer jade with polished surface and chop mark. 19th century. Includes display stand. PROVENANCE: From the collection of George F. Kunz, a mineralogist, gemologist and Vice President of Tiffany's in New York. In 1933, it was purchased by William Manchester, a mineral dealer, who sold it to a medical doctor. In 2004, it was sold by a member of the doctor’s family to the current consignor. MEASUREMENTS: 4-1/2" x 4" x 1". Approximate weight 2lbs. CONDITION: No defects noted.
