Description
An 18th Century Georgian Mourning Pin. Oval shape, sepia painted scene of a woman and two children beside an urn, beneath a willow, and a ship in the distance, encircled by paste stones. Engraved inscription on the reverse, "John Wallis Obi. Sept. 1782, AE 38." Minor discoloration to the scene, hinged pinback and clasp are a later addition. 4 1/4" long overall.
