English, 19th century. A partial silver gilt flatware set by William Eley & William Fearn, dated 1801, including eleven forks, twenty-four teaspoons, twenty-four large soup spoons, six tablespoons, two strainers, and two pairs of tongs. Each item marked and with armorial engraving to handle, PLUS a pair of silver gilt serving utensils dated 1777 with maker's mark RP and matching armorial, and a single sterling fork, dated 1850. All housed in a flatware chest with plaques for J.T. Needs / 128 Piccadilly / Late / J. Bramah / 124 Piccadilly and F. West / Manufacturer To Her Majesty / Prince Albert & The Royal Family / No. 1 St. James's Street; largest item lg. 9.25 in., total silver wt. 105.92ozt (3294g).
