Clean, presentable copy of a Dreiser classic in very collectible condition. Published 1911 by Harper & Bros. (first edition, second state). Small bb-size light stain at bottom right front cover. Slight mild yellowing around very edges on front cover (barely noticeable); similar to larger areas on back cover (also not that noticeable.) Minor rubbing on extremities with the exception of lower rear tip which has been rubbed to dark color at last 1/16" of tip. These are all very minor faults that detract very little from the cover. All gilt titling is bright and complete. Owner's name on free endpaper. Ffep appears to be gone. Interior near fine except for two pages which have small gouge at top. Owner's name on back inside cover. Overall a very presentable, clean classic first. 433 pages. 5.25 x 7.75.
