Offered here is an original/first print BLACKLIGHT poster, promoting Led Zeppelin at the 1969 Atlanta Pop Festival. Just a month before Woodstock, the Festival took place July 4th & 5th at the Atlanta International Raceway, and also featured Janis Joplin. As this poster is the classic British size (approx. 20" x 30"), and printed on relatively thin stock, this poster was most likely printed in England and then sent to the Festival. The condition is very good, with pinhole issues in the corners (some paper loss). The poster is mounted on protective foam core. I would quickly add that the image area is in top shape, for nearly the entire image - and there is a light fading and possibly a water mark near the bottom right corner - and this one is framed beautifully in a metal frame with plexiglass protective covering, and comes with a matte that adds significantly to the quality look of this almost 50 year old poster. The colors are every bit as bright and strong as the photo would indicate I would describe them as blazing. I have not seen another of these, and am convinced that this is an exceptionally rare Led Zeppelin poster. The poster was removed from the frame to photograph and measure, and will be shipped in the frame. Last one sold for $4000 years ago. Good Luck ! The first Atlanta International Pop Festival was a rock festival held at the Atlanta International Raceway in Hampton, Georgia, twenty miles south of Atlanta, on the July Fourth (Friday) weekend, 1969, more than a month before Woodstock. Crowd estimates ranged from the high tens of thousands to as high as 150,000. With temperatures nearing a hundred degrees, local fire departments used fire hoses to create "sprinklers" for the crowd to play in and cool off. It was a peaceful, energetic, hot and loud festival with few (if any) problems other than heat related. Concession stands were woefully inadequate. Attendees frequently stood in line for an hour to get a soft drink.
