Description
Walasse Ting (Chinese-American 1929-2010) original pencil signed lithograph. Signed by the artist in pencil lower right. This lithograph was believed to be presented to the printer Jorge Dumas of Atelier Dumas, Inc. New York by the artist Ting and is inscribed "To Jorge" in pencil lower left. Has Atelier Dumas, Inc. New York blind stamp lower left. This print was found in an archive of lithographs that included works by artists - Jorge Dumas, Salvador Dali, Mel Ramos, Guillaume Corneille, Walasse Ting and others. It is our belief, that all the prints in this box were the property/collection of Jorge Dumas. In this exciting group, some prints were stated Printer Proof or Artist Proof, some were signed and numbered while others were not signed or numbered at all. As various pieces in the box were inscribed โTo Jorgeโ by the artists, it is our belief that this box was comprised only of prints from the Dumas Estate. Measures 20 1/2" x 28 5/8" (52 cm x 72.75 cm) sheet size. Appears to have never been framed or displayed. Ex+/NrMt condition. Unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down. Provenance: Estate of artist and printer Jorge Dumas of Atelier Dumas, Inc. New York (believed to be), recently The Amity Arts Foundation Collection.
