Description

19th century English large copper and brass hand forged and soldered planter or fireplace hod footed. Wonderful workmanship and materials were used to create this stunning piece. Has been professionally cleaned and polished to reveal the beauty. Brass lion head handles either side with three high legs and claw feet in brass as well. Thick rolled copper upper and lower rims with the hand forging apparent in the seaming,overlapping on bottom and hand soldering. Design of a horses' head on one side,a ram head on the other inside of a shield shape outline. Large leaf and floral motif either side under the handles. Very sturdy with good weight. Wonderful for multiple uses. Excellent condition. Measures 17.5 H X 20 L X 14.5 D. Item ID:SL35906
