Condition
A very handsome pair in good condition. Some scattered scuffs and dings commensurate with age, but
no dents, breaks or repairs noted. Very minor, nearly imperceptible, area of firescale on the underside of
one boat. Very hefty; lovely detail and engraving. Each piece hallmarked (on the underside) with: 1) the
sterling lion passant; 2) the London leopard's head; 3) the date letter "f" for 1861-1862; 4) the Victoria
bust duty mark; and 5) the crowned "RG" maker's mark of Robert Garrard II.
