Description
The coffee pot 1842, London, with maker's mark ''WC'' for William Cripps; the teapot 1824, London, the maker's mark partially obliterated, with additional marks to handle, each in matching pattern of acanthus scroll bands with fluted bodies and floral finials to hinged lids, 2 pcs, the coffee pot, 10'' H x 10'' W x 6'' D, 29 oz, est:$1000/1500
Condition
The teapot: 6.75'' x 11'' x 6.25''; 28 oz. Generally good condition overall. General light marks, scratches, rubbing and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Teapot with a somewhat more tarnished surface. With a couple of small dings to body, one in side cartouche. Evidently dating from different periods and possibly by different makers, but consistent design and decoration. Handle to teapot also marked - marks possibly different. Insulator caps with some cracking, but stable. Not monogrammed. Decoration consistent with following lot. This and all lots are sold AS IS.
