Extremely rare Craven Art Pottery – East Liverpool, Ohio – matte green vase c1906-1908. Founded in 1904, the experiment of Craven Art Pottery closed in 1908. In 1906 William P. Jervis developed the matte glaze line of Craven Art Pottery. Frederick Rhead was also briefly associated with this pottery. According to the Paul Evans book on American Art Pottery the only known example of Craven is in the Smithsonian. Signed. Small chip to base. 7″h x 3.5″d.
