Description
This is a cocktail or seafood fork in a rare floral pattern by the Baker Manchester MFG. Co., which only existed as a firm for some fifteen years in Rhode Island. The pattern, dubbed BMS17, is circa 1915.
This fork measures approximately 6-3/8" and weighs 14.1 grams.
Note: The tines seem slightly flattened compared to other cocktail forks. Also, I hand polish all my silver pieces but being an older item, there may still be some patina, small spots of discoloration, toning, or light scratches due to age. Whether or not you like toning is a personal preference but silver can always use more polishing, if desired. Any very large, dark areas are reflections. Please see the images and click to see close up.
Please note that this lot has a confidential reserve. When you leave a bid in advance of the auction, submit your maximum. The bidder who has submitted the highest bid wins the lot, provided the bid exceeds the reserve price.
