Icon with metallic coating, cm 20x16. Russia, 19th century. The Christ Pantocrator depicted according to the ancient Byzantine iconography, is here rendered in the Russian academic-romantic style of the nineteenth century. While he blesses with his right hand, with his left he holds the open gospel.
