Circa 1860s Patriotic Antique Reverse Glass Painting in nineteenth century lemon gold frame. Depiction of an American Eagle with U.S. Federal Shield, arrows, olive branch, and 13 stars. Vibrant coloring with bright blues, and gold gilt work with black details. The red, white, and blue shield is an outstanding complement to the eagle motif. Approximate size is of the frame opening on back is 8-3/4" x 7-1/2". Exterior frame dimensions are 10-1/4" x 9-1/4". Condition: colors are vibrant. frame has areas of wear with soiling, chips, nicks, scuffs, and touch-ups.
