Regency Period Framed Lady's Fan :
Elaborately carved and painted tortoise shell fan. Carved and incised sticks and guards. The center section of the leaves is a hand colored courting scene of ladies and gentleman in a garden. The sticks also portray a courting scene in the center and roses are carved in the side sticks. Back of frame says circa 1790 - 1820 wood stick with silver inlay, hand painted.

The glue holding the glass in the frame is releasing. One of the leaves is split at the fold. Crack in the left hand corner of the glass.
