Brinley, Daniel Putnam (American, 1879 - 1963), East and North Wall Banking Room Maquette for Bank of New York and Trust Company, circa 1920, Brinley created murals for the Brooklyn Savings Bank, for which he was awarded the Gold Medal of Honor of the Architectural League of New York, oil and gouache on wood panel, with an attached Society of Mural Painters Exhibition (American Federation of the Arts, Washington DC) paper label on the reverse, signed by Brimley, inscribed scale 1/2" - 1'ft. and 1" - 1'ft. By Nineteen, 22 x 72 inches with a painted gold frame 25 x 73 inches
Condition
in generally good condition, apart from: graduated surface cracking throughout, accumulated dirt and debris, areas of contact staining, general wear with loss near the edges, a few areas of abrasion, developed splitting to center of backing board
