Redware Plate with Crisscrossed Copper Slip Decoration, attributed to the Singer Pottery, Haycock Township, Bucks County, PA, fourth quarter 19th century, with coggled edge, the interior decorated with crossed, X-shaped trails of bright copper slip. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, discovered by a Singer family descendant in the 1950s in one of several boxes stored away in the eaves of the Singer Pottery warehouse. Some shallow chipping to rim. Otherwise excellent condition. The interior appears to be unused. Diameter 7 7/8".
