Description

An unusual souvenir from the Wabash Railroad dated to 1903. St Louis hosted the Louisiana Purchase Exposition that year. It's is sometimes called the St Louis World's Fair. The side has a June 1903 date and a trip from Pittsburg to St Louis. It stands 4 1/4" tall. It's bulbous and has a maker's mark that I am not familiar with. The side decal was not perfectly applied which makes sense because of the curved surface. This is noticeable near the word "Pittsburg". The handle has a crack on the top mount. It almost looks like the handle top joint was not correctly attached in the first place. A very neat piece of advertising that is 114 years old. Wabash: "Follow the Flag". The estimate is based on how infrequently stuff like this turns up.
