Description
Marygate House, a five story English manor house complete with servant's quarters, nursery, sewing room and both gentlemen's and ladies' drawing rooms. The stately mansion circa 1810 is furnished with authentic German Biedermeier pieces. This house has a rare five story staircase with newel post and commode step on each landing. Majority of furniture is Biedermeier made of imitation rosewood with gilt trim. Purchased at The Mildred M. Mahoney Dolls' House Museum Auction in 2010. In the Brochure it states that this dollhouse was the most striking and as well as the most expensive of all the houses. It also has Schoolroom and Nursery. 54.5"Tall 44"Wide 23"Deep 12 rooms, 3 attic rooms, 8 room size 9" T 16"L 12" D, 4 rooms 8" Ta 12"w 12"d Again this is a charming and interesting house part of the Mahoney Collection.
