Description
Antique Heinrich & Co Porcelain Gilded Portrait Plate. The Heinrich green underglaze White ware mark, was used in 1911 (the first of two crown marks that year), and can be found on Page #156 of Rontgen. Very good condition, measures 9.75". Weight 1 pd 3 oz. Franz Heinrich Porcelain was founded in 1896 in Selb, Bavaria, Germany by Franz Heinrich (porcelain director) to decorate German White wares. By 1900, the firm began to produce its own porcelain & the name became Heinrich & Co. and continued until 1929, when it was purchased by Graf & Krippner in Selb. The name Heinrich Porzellan GMBH was adopted in 1970, and in 1976, became a subsidiary of Villeroy & Boch in Mettlach, Saarland, Germany.
