Description
A large Greek terracotta votive horse with three riders, c. 8th – 7th Century BC, the horse with narrow body and four long legs, the head is nicely defined and wears bridle and harness, tail in back, The riders are all grouped together and of simplified nature with short bodies and heads, their arms held outward. 7 ½ in x 7 ¾ in (18.7 x 19.7 cm). Deposits throughout. Ex Rice Collection, Southern California.
