ANTIQUE NEW ENGLAND BLOWN APPLE-FORM PAPERWEIGHT, cased deep rose shaded to yellow, the stem visible underneath, green button-like rough pontil, on a colorless circular base polished underneath. New England Glass Co. 1860-1880. 2 1/2" H, 2 3/4" D base.
Good condition overall with moderate to heavy overall wear/scratching, moderate chip to the backside of the base as it tilts upwards.
Literature: Hawley - The Art of the Paperweight: Boston & Sandwich and New England Glass Companies, p. 164, fig. 8.3.
Provenance: The 65-year collection of Barbara Sisson, Charleston, WV.

Condition
