BILLODES SWISS / OTTOMAN TURKISH PRIVATE LABEL POCKET WATCH, marked Billodes key-wind movement with additional mark in Arabic script, in marked Billodes hunter case, most likely nickel or base-metal, with engraved decoration, enamel dial with gilt- and fired-enamel decoration, marked "K. SERKISOFF & CO. / CONSTANTINOPLE", with Ottoman numerals. Retains key. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. Movement 1 5/8" diameter, approximately size 14.
Excellent condition overall, expected minor wear to case, dial with some hairlines and a minor flake to the edge at the 2 mark, crystal replaced and discolored. Currently wound tight, but otherwise appears to be in working order, most likely need cleaning (see Catalogue Guarantee).
