Description
Greece, Archaic Period, ca. 6th century BCE. A mold-made votive miniature statuette of a woman. She stands, wearing a polos hat over a towering wiglike hairstyle, and a long chiton, with her hair falling over the shoulders of her mantle. Her hands are pressed against her sides. The votive statue may have been placed in a small household altar, or given as an offering at a temple dedicated to the goddess, or made to be placed in a grave, where female figures are commonly found. Size: 0.75" W x 3.1" H (1.9 cm x 7.9 cm); 4.1" H (10.4 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition
Well done repair at center that is very difficult to see. Nice remaining details, with light encrustation in lower profile areas. Possible ancient loss from top of head.
