A Victorian Silver Centerpiece

the atlantid stem holding a grape bunch in one hand and balancing an amphora on his head with the other hand, raised on a flared base worked to show fruit sprays and mask motifs ending in foliate feet, the top modified with modern hardware.

Height 18 1/2 inches.
Estimate $ 1,500-2,500
In overall stable condition. Light to moderate surface scratching throughout consistent with polishing and use. Stem is attached to base but wobbles slightly. Top was likely originally mounted with a cut glass bowl, modern hardware installed by cutting and peeling back top rim, solder repair visible to top.
Marked for sterling on base and on amphora atop figure's head.
