Description
Both leather bellows bags with applied panels: The earlier of shaped brown leather with red velvet top having front, back and lid panels of natural shell, twin leather handles, printed paper lining, label "Henry Chatwin's Registered Reticule", 4 x 6, (latch broken, missing clasp element, light wear). The other black Moroccan with curved flap, the front having pierced carving with various figures and floral decoration, top strap, divided interior with a center snap pocket, 4 x 6, (ivory cracked, leather faded, clasp broken). Both fair. Together with a bronze velvet pouch having celluloid hinged lid with pushback clasp and filigree collar over long fringe of bronze iridill beads and beaded bottom tassel, 3 x 10, (some fringe losses, relined) good.
