Description
Old Chinese hand carved jade sculpture depicting a standing fish merchant with fish on rope over shoulder and dressed in flowing layered robe. Has deep spinach to tones of emerald and white with some translucence. We believe to be a jadeite species but possibly nephrite. Circa late Qing Dynasty to Republic period; 19th/20th century. Measures 6 1/4" height x 3" width. Total jade weight of 402 grams.
