A remarkable presentation cane featuring a 14K gold filled knob with the engraving "James Maffitt From Francis Blake Dec 1st 1880. A Souvenir of the 24th Anniversary of their Copartnership." The wooden shaft is black with a darkened silver ferrule. Along with the inscription, the gold-plated knob highlights exquisite carvings on opposite sides, as well as a deer atop a cliff overlooking a mountain range. A fine example of a 19th century cane. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: 35"T.
